Driving Lessons restart on the 4th of July

Great news the Government has said that driving lessons can restart in Walthamstow and surrounding areas, all inquiries welcome.

When will driving Lessons resume?

There is no set date as to when driving lessons can resume?, according to the government guidance it is very confusing, but in section 3.3 it seems like lessons can restart. But still no concrete guidance has been published.

Latest News on Driving Lessons and Key workers driving lessons in Walthamstow and CoronaVirus Covid-19 information. Due to the coronavirus COVID-19 and the welfare of students all driving lessons and tests are suspended. All driving lessons are suspended for the foreseeable future with the exception of critical workers. I am of course monitoring the situation daily and will restart bookings as soon as the Government (DVSA) lifts restrictions regarding this matter and deemed safe to conduct lessons. Critical worker updates will be disseminated as available.

Key Worker Driving Lessons

If you are a Key worker or Critical worker the Government has allowed continuation of key workers driving lessons and emergency tests during the pandemic.

Book your driving test

You cannot currently book a driving test, unless you’re a key worker.

Driving tests have been suspended because of coronavirus (COVID-19).

If you’ve already booked a test

If you’ve booked a car driving test, you’ll be emailed with a new date.

If you’ve booked another type of test that has been cancelled, you’ll get a refund.

If you’re a key worker

You can ask for an emergency test if you’re a key worker.

Email critical.worker.driving.test@dvsa.gov.uk to ask DVSA for a test.

Your email must include all of the following:

  • proof that you’re a key worker, for example a photo or scan of your work ID or payslip
  • your phone number
  • your preferred test location
  • the type of test you need – for example, a car driving test
  • your driving licence number
  • your driving test reference number (if you have one)
  • your theory test certificate number

DVSA will contact you to confirm if your test has been booked.
